Get ready to fall in love with Dragonfruit's new EP, Honeymoon Phase.

This Dutch quartet has created a stunning collection of tracks that showcase their unique blend of electronic pop and neo-soul. Drawing from elements of funk, R&B, indie, and pop, Dragonfruit has crafted an EP that is a truly euphoric sonic experience. No wonder they've gained recognition from national press and radio, as well as placements on several Spotify playlists.

Opening up with "Flashing Lights", Dragonfruit instantly capture an infectious energy with their sound. Pulling from the dance realm with soulful, feminine vocals drifting above the polyphonic bed of beats and bass, you'll already be sitting up and listening. Rich in harmony and delay, the quartet keep it atmospheric and effortlessly grooving.

Entering a more driving beat, "I'm Good (Get It Together)" is the second track, delivering a sharp, electronic riff over fast-paced, organic percussion. A distinct, indietronica influence is a refreshing take on the R&B-infused top melodies, bringing a soulful, empowering edge to a classic sound.

Moving to a grittier sonic environment, complete with vinyl crackle, the title track "Honeymoon Phase" ebbs and flows between sultry verses and euphoric, harmony-laden, reverberated choruses- anthemic in its nature and oozing rhythm from start to finish.

DRAGONFRUIT · Dragonfruit – Honeymoon Phase EP

The EP's lead single, "Space Traveler," ft.  co-writer Hudson, is a standout track that perfectly captures Dragonfruit's sound. Warbling melodies are the backbone of this cosmic track, taking Dragonfruit's signature drum sound and elevating it beautifully with stripped-back yet upbeat instrumentation."Space Traveler" tells the story of someone who suffers from escapism so badly that they escape to the galaxies. Co-written with L.A.-based songwriters Daniel Davila and Cooper Bell, this swinging bop is both immersive and infectious.

The EP concludes with the sugar-sweetness of "Berries", the sunny sonic landscape stirs up visuals of picking plump fruits straight off the tree with a backdrop of a ditty piano, almost reminiscent of a nursery rhyme.

Dragonfruit effortlessly prove that they are as proficient with industrial electronica as they are with delightfully smooth R&B cuts, yet somehow stitching it together into a coherent and colourful tapestry. The EP is as suitable for easy listening as it is for an introspective and deep analysis with beautifully penned lyricism and beats that are as at home on the dance floor as they are in the office. The band's feverish following and millions of streams are a testament to their growing popularity. Their successful tours across Europe and notable performances at prestigious events like the North Sea Jazz Festival and Amsterdam Concertgebouw have solidified their path towards becoming a household name.

The Honeymoon Phase EP is out on April 14th via Wicked Wax Records.
