Swedish duo LOW-RES delivers lush production “Makeup,” taken from their forthcoming album Därför. With a euphoric touch to their well-honed post-punk sound, the track delves into the idea of leaving negativity behind and flourishing in the aftermath.

Speaking of the process behind the track, the pair explain, “It was written on a beautiful old USSR guitar we found online, and was delivered in a tiny box. Of course it sounded terrible with the exception of three chords, which are those you hear on the actual recording, captured on an iPhone.
Following the ambient soundscape they offered up with their debut full-length Varförin 2021, this latest offering delivers a glimpse of the genre-bending experience to come from upcoming eleven-track sister album Därför, which journeys through krautrock, early electronic pop/rock and psychedelia framed by a refreshing vibe of modern-day Sweden.
