The Dryas are in their prime on "BOY"

Following the success of their debut EP, The Dryas return with their first single of 2023, "BOY".

Hudd Hunter-Smith, Luke Cowie, and Connor Tagg are the talented trio behind The Dryas. The self-produced three-piece came together in 2021 after leaving their hometown in Kent to make their mark in the bustling music scene of Brighton.

Having performed in various bands since their teenage years, The Dryas finally decided that the time was right to start releasing music as a band of three. Despite the disruptions caused by multiple lockdowns, the band is more determined than ever to succeed, something which can clearly be seen on their addictive new offering.

Stunningly melancholic and euphoric and with sultry distortion at every twist and turn, this is the type of anthem that will power you through the spring and into the summer, blending a nostalgic energy to contemporary, slick production. The track conjures up a feeling of familiarity with indie sensibilities, re-working a classic sound with electronic and alt-pop elements that grab your attention immediately.

The Dryas have already gained recognition from prominent industry players such as BBC Radio 1, Amazing Radio, and BBC Introducing's Abbie McCarthy. With such support already behind them, 2023 is shaping up to be a big year for the band and The Dryas are capturing the essence of DIY music and infusing it with pop sensibilities, putting them in a lane of their own.
