Jordana of Earth has shared a fresh new single called "Springtime". Canadian Alternative R&B singer-songwriter and producer Jordana of Earth is a multi-disciplinary artist. Her creative practices include sculpture, painting, video, and installation, alongside her constantly expanding musical talent. Jordana’s career as a musician saw a promising debut in February 2020, when her debut single, "Leave the Light On," produced by Jeff Crake (DVSN) hit tens of thousands of streams on Spotify alone. This song, along with two others, "Lies" and "I Got," were all the products of an initial session between the artist and Toronto production duo Rainer + Grimm, composed of Jeff Crake (DVSN) and Rainer Millar Blanchaer (The Weeknd). These initial works would later catch the interest of her future collaborators. She has since released twenty-one singles and one EP, crafted with the likes of Toronto producers, and now team members, Tim North, Urstruli, and Joff Wood. Her latest offering is "Springtime", a refreshing track that combines airy sonics with sharply-crafted, infectious vocals for an ethereal new alternative R&B cut.

"Springtime” is a sultry, sensitive number that finds artist Jordana of Earth professing her devotion to a lover who is often living at a distance – expressing her desire to be present during their time together. Light guitar and watery, atmospheric synth lay the soundbed for her airy and soulful vocals – for a sound that is as stripped back and raw as it gets, as she details her desires and emotions, acknowledging how their feelings for each other have not changed.

“You pour the wine, I put on the next song / We’ve been apart most of this year, I just wanna be here,” she sings. “I wanna ride with ya / Heaven’s on the road with you whenever / This ain’t overrated, I feel for ya / Lay it on like Springtime, fresh and green glow / Baby like the way I ride it." Despite the feelings of distance and longing, their undeniable passion brings her to a place of feeling fresh and new (like springtime) every time they reconnect.

“Springtime” is the lead single to Jordana of Earth’s upcoming EP, Green Tapes: a four track mixtape of demos, compiled to capture a sound that is as raw and real as the musical and lyrical content of the music featured therein. “Green Tapes” is scheduled to drop in April 2023.
