Bay Area rising star OG DAYV comes in with a bang on his first release of the year on “Lazy Susan,” encapsulating the feel of ease and effortlessness. Taking inspiration from the common household turntable, the rapper weaves an innovative and layered production featuring The Dakota Wytefoxx.
Produced by Ben 10K and Danes Blood, the track unveils DAYV’s ability to envision the simplest of things in a creative light, with striking visuals adding yet another element to the catchy and crazy number.
Speaking of the self-confident message behind the track, he explains, “Performing a task and making it look simple. The design idea behind a Lazy Susan is brilliant and I use one everyday, so I said lemme take this inspiration and turn it into something clean. Dakota and I make this rap shit look exceptionally easy … lazy susan.”
While the track showcases their seamless delivery,the accompanying music video sees the rappers unleash their goofy side with some silly dance moves as he offers up a sonic and visual treat that leave us wanting more.
Coming on the back of his noteworthy collaboration with Future on “Limoncello,” as part of the official soundtrack for BlackPanther: Wakanda Forever Marvel film, OG DAYV further cements his space in music with this latest offering.
