Multi-faceted Hong-Kong based artist XTIE (pronounced as X-T) is a woman who wears many hats. From writing, producing, arranging and being fully hands-on with her music, she has carved her own path in the music business. she has put out more than a handful of chart-topping records and recently played at Ear Up Music Festival 2023 at Macpherson Stadium. she is definitely not stopping for no one as she returns with the exciting visuals for her single "new classic". The aptly titled record is inspired by women music pioneers Madonna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift who help laid the foundation for women across the globe and sees XTIE celebrating her identity as an Asian female producer. The self-produced track captures the essence of future pop with its bright textures, a fusion of multiple genres and ear-grabbing vocal performance. XTIE sure knows how to keep listeners locked in as she delivers spirited melodic runs that weave in and out of the dynamic soundscape.
For the visuals, XTIE teamed up with her longtime collaborator Hong Kong and Los Angeles-based choreographer Emily Lu who helps bring her vision to life. from the colour-coordinated and off-beat aesthetics, eye-popping set pieces and stand-out choreography which takes elements from Broadway Musical Chicago, Vogue-styled dance and a dash of K-Pop, XTIE sure delivers the goods with this one.
