Prominent Baltimore DJ and producer Neil Nines join forces with DJ Heath Allen to form the duo Allen X Nines. The recently formed duo just put out their new single "Fire" which serves as their debut and was made in collaboration with Nashville singer/songwriter Sunnie Williams. The resulting tune is an epic dancefloor burner that starts off mellow with crispy arpeggios layered underneath Sunnie's sultry melodic runs. Also comprised of crisp piano progressions, thick four-to-the-floor drum grooves and sizzling synth arrangements that rise to a crescendo once the drop hits, listeners are slowly taken to the peak as the chorus enters the fray giving a literal meaning to starting a fire, albeit on the dancefloor. But before we get all rowdy on the dancefloor, the song has a dual premise fusing a love story and also implores listeners to fire up their passions and find their true North. In summary, the record is particularly engaging and the subtle nod to the EDM festival tunes of the 2010s also makes it nostalgic for lovers of the genre.
Allen X Nines are currently working on more music and are preparing to drop a series of singles into 2023, which include features with vocalists from both their hometown and around the world.
