Icelandic singer-songwriter and producer Brynja Bjarnadóttir delivers soothing debut album Repeat, a 13-track collection led by her melodic vocals, diverse messages and genre-spanning soundscape moving through alternative, hip-hop, pap, indie, pop, R&B and soul.
Opening with “Fight,” a previous hit featured on Netflix show Katla before delving into real life topics centred around the issue of global warming, fluttering seamlessly through the circle of life, repetition of history, and emotions. Besides showcasing her reflective penmanship, the album sees Brynja highlight her vocal power with her soft yet soaring voice.
