Rising Toronto artists Trae Gold and OVO Riicch come together to drop anthemic track “Hold Dat,” encapsulating carefree lifestyles in the face of rough lives with a catchy hyperpop-infused beat.
Produced by Chicago producer Montemarko, the track combines their individual charm and talent managing to showcase the light-hearted yet energetic style of Trae Gold as well as Ricch’s sonic prowess. “Hold Dat,” is accompanied by a music video shot in a shoe store in OVO Riicch’s native of Scarborough.
Riichh who is a close friend of Drake and Trae who has carved a space for himself through social media have already established their individual presence, and with this latest production they give us a glimpse of their collaborative strength as they turn up the excitement for future projects.
