Helsinki-based singer-songwriter Anniina makes a strong first impression with delicate debut single “Fire,” a minimalist pop offering that showcases her captivating and emotive vocal talent.
A track about heartbreak and the inability to move on from it, Anniina carries the relatable message with conviction and maturity beyond her 19 years through the strength of her poetic song writing capture the drama of a break-up in the most elegant of ways.
Written around the time when she moved from her childhood home to a new country, the song is infused coming-of-age vibe tracing the growth and change that many of us go through after the pain and vulnerability of heartache.
Having been intrigued and impassioned by music from a very young age, Anniina who learned to play piano after watching a video in concert of Adele has consistently worked towards build her sonic skills – first getting into the the final stages of the UK Songwriting Contest, the International Songwriting Awards and the International Songwriting Competition before attending Berklee College of Music to hone her talent further.
Now, with the introduction of her modern pop sound on her debut track, this rising act is set to find a space in our playlists, with much more music to come soon.
