Making a mark on music with his fast-growing TikTok fanbase, Reyn Hartley releases an official new single “Stackin’ By The Plenty”. This past year saw Hartley's career skyrocket following his viral TikTok song “Bow”. But this latest new single stands as a pivotal composition to his debut album Georgia as he refers to the song as “the first step onto the valley floor of this album and my life”.
Warm harmonies and string sections blend seamlessly with trap-like drums & lyrics to help lay the stage for Hartley's vulnerable lyrics and unique vocal style. His vocal control and the raw emotion conveyed throughout the song make it a timeless piece of music, but the biggest surprise in this song is the vulnerability he shares through his lyricism. Speaking about his new single, he explains: "I learned in therapy that one of my coping mechanisms is to tell myself that people who have hurt me just don't care about me, it's easier for me to think that someone doesn't care, that I'm not good enough and that I've failed, than to think that we might of actually really cared for each other and circumstances tore us apart. That coping mechanism formed when I was really young because my family wasn't around, so I've just started to understand it.
