New York City based singer/songwriter D'Arcy returns with "The Best of Me", a dream inspired piano-driven indie ballad. The song follows a trio of singles, "Ecstasy", "Crazy" and "Dancing in the Dark" shared earlier this year from the prolific songwriter.

"The Best of Me" is a raw and poignant song all about that last attempt at trying to make a relationship work. Sometimes a relationship can't be salvaged and heartbreak is inevitable and "The Best of Me" is about trying to fight against this all too familiar situation. Lyrics include, "We can work it out / What's the fighting all about? / I'll give you all that's left / Just stay until the dawn." D'Arcy is pleading with her lover to try again and telling that person all that she is willing to do to make the relationship survive. The simple yet stunning song came to D'Arcy in full during a dream she had. Musically, emotive warm piano chords and cinematic strings underlay D'Arcy's pristine vocals. Haunting melodies full of passion highlight the deeply turbulent emotions that can come with love lost. The simple black and white visuals show D'Arcy staring into the camera singing, demonstrating the deep vulnerability of the song's narrative.

D'Arcy began releasing music in 2020 with her debut upbeat pop rock single "Crush". Since then, the artist has shared a series of diverse singles and an EP that melds pop, folk, soul and rock. Performing all across the country last year, D'Arcy returns on the road opening for She Wants Revenge. Take a listen to D'Arcy's "The Best of Me" now and remember you are not alone when experiencing heartbreak.
