Canadian musician and TV/film star Jessica Lowndes delivers reflective debut album ELEMENTAL, a seven-track collection of soulful melodies carrying thoughtful storytelling across themes of love, loss and rediscovering yourself.
On first single “Hunter,” Lowndes crafts an intriguing tale of a wanderer looking for love, armed equally with hope and uncertainty. She stretches the hollowness of tumultuous relationships into following track “Bitter End,” before flipping the narrative on deeply romanticised “Lost Love.”
Stand-out number, “Chasing Ghosts,” sees the multi-hyphenate talent weave a haunting melody together with a moody cinematic feel on a layered instrumentation of vibrant synths and rich basslines, punctuated by booming beats.
Drawing from natural elements to channel her emotions, the album is an organic and introspective project that combine as a 30-minute short that leads us through her ups and downs. Having forged her creative path through a winning combination of enticing sounds and heartfelt song writing, Lowndes has emerged from the pandemic with fine-tuned musicality and a completed project on about falling in love and finding new love.
