Remi Wolf is a passionate singer from California who first came onto the scene when the release of her second EP I'm Allergic to Dogs! started to gain lots of traction. She has been a powerhouse ever since, continuing to drop delightful hits. This includes the release of her most recent album Juno, along with the deluxe version.

Her eccentric lyrics and perfect production have contributed to her position as an interesting artist to watch grow in the past couple of years. Recently, Remi released her Live at Electric Lady EP, where she performed some of her past hits live, transforming them, in true Electric Lady fashion. On the EP, she decided to cover Frank Oceans, “Pink and White”, a song that was featured on his lauded 2016 album, Blonde.

The cover is a beautiful spin on Frank Oceans' original, where Remi added her amazing flare to the initially mellow track. It starts with a guitar riff and soft drums, met with some hints of brass instrumentation. Remi starts off singing in her unique voice. The guitar picks up a little, adding chords on top of the riff. She brings out her iconic energy near the end of the song as she beings to belt on the bridge. This is where the cover becomes hers and it is clear that she has done this track justice.

Remi posted on Instagram, after the release of this EP, stating that she knew she wanted to do a cover, but could not decide between an AC/DC song and a Frank Ocean song. She felt as if she would be more qualified to do an AC/DC song because it aligned more with her usual sound. She ultimately decided to do the Frank Ocean song anyways because she feels "Pink and White" is “the best song ever."

Remi has only gotten better with every release. Her live shows always have high energy and she is consistently positive. Her album Juno along with the deluxe was very unique and she is incomparable to any other artist in this current era. It has been very rewarding for fans to watch her grow, and she will only continue to get better.
