Consisting of Jessy Kelly and Matt Sturrock on lead vocals and guitar, Ash Ravlic on bass, Andy Sturrock on drums, and Eddie O’Brien on keys, their latest endeavor started in the depths of lockdown, as they took to global network Tiktok to showcase their truly authentic musicality. There’s something fascinating about seeing rockstars in their natural habitat, but nevertheless, Rancid Eddie rose to the challenge, taking their presence to phenomenal heights.
Embarking into their next release, “Tiger Love,” demonstrates admirable levels of versatility from the quirky quintet, bridging the gaps between their unapologetically alt-rock personas to form a ballad that thrives with passion and awakening narratives. Sturrock shares, "Ed and I wrote this during the first covid lockdown as a laid back acoustic ballad that came out of a bathroom sesh. Once we all got around to the song at band practice, I knew this had the potential to be mixed with the rancid herbs and spices. It didn’t take us long to pull together the perfect blend that gives this tune the kick in the guts you need for what the song is all about.”
