Contemporary pop artist Alice Pisano is back with her latest single “Boys Like You,” ahead of her highly-anticipated EP Shattered But Still Cool. Offering listeners an ecstatic sphere of sound, her latest single continues to ignite her burning desire for true pop-perfectionism.
We’ve all been there… swiping left and right on those daring dating apps. It can often be frustrating, especially with disastrous dates and constant ghosting. So, when Pisano found herself exploring the trials and tribulations herself, she decided to express her dating duels in her latest single.
She explains, “Boys Like You is about my experience with dating apps. I finally got around to joining one and decided to put myself out there. Online dating can definitely be fun but also frustrating, and can really shake your self-confidence. The day we wrote the song, I remember feeling pretty disheartened about it. It can be tough to deal with failed dates and behaviours like ghosting, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you’re not good enough, or pretty or fun enough… talking to my friends though, it became pretty clear they were having the same experience.”
Her infatuation shines brightly, combining complementary themes with synonymous synthesisers, danceworthy rhythms and an echoing vocal force. Naturally, Pisano proves that there are truly no limits to her musical capability, as she continues to garner significant interest with her unapologetically relentless resonance.
