Toronto-based alternative rap newcomer dichotomi shares their new single "STF 17", an upbeat summertime anthem that talks about good times, and soaking up the uplifting warm energy of the warmest season of the year. The record, produced by fellow Toronto musician Frizzy Astro, has elements of lofi hip-hop with a dash of soul-pop aesthetics that blends perfectly with dichotomi's soothing melodic vocals and care-free demeanor, as they implore us to seize the day and find happiness from within. The ironic part was the song was created during the height of the pandemic when dichotomi was unwell and couldn't go outside.
"STF 17" also comes with a playfully animated video that follows an animated version of dichotomi having fun. From skating, enjoying the breezy poolside and even just chilling on their bedroom floor relaxing.
"STF 17" is the lead single for dichotomi’s upcoming debut EP that is set for release later this year and it's the anticipated follow-up to last year’s fan-favorite "plush".
Born in Florida and now living in Toronto, dichotomi burst onto the scene in 2019 with her brand of genre-bending music, led by good vibes and wholesome themes that are intended to inspire hope in the heart of listeners.
