Australian hip-hop artists Ello. C and Dxvndre are presently working on a full-length EP titled Iron Sharpens Iron, and in the interim they share "Mirrors" to keep listeners locked in. "Mirrors" has a quintessential hip-hop feel with hard-hitting, insightful bars and, of course, a banging backdrop courtesy of Lumin8 who blends ominous strings and woozy vocal-like samples over gritty drum breaks. On the lyrical side of things, Ello. C and Dxvndre both deliver the goods in copious amounts as they share their thoughts on the impact of music upon their lives as a whole. It's part retrospective, part braggadocio, and sure makes for a solid addition to your evening hip-hop playlist.
