Climate conscious act ISYLA drops purposeful album Of Blood And Star

Folk-pop duo ISYLA are a musical act backed by strong purpose, channelling their passion for environmentalism and climate change into soulful soundscapes on new album Of Blood And Star, an introspective collection of tracks rooted deeply in our connections to the earth and to each other.

A perfect representation of art as a form of activism and vehicle for change, the album moves through powerful and celebratory offerings like “Invincible Heart,” that call for us to be united to bloom within the imperfections of this world, to the delicate instrumentation of stand-out production “Slip,” and intricate build of singles like "Pretty Lies,” and “Wild,” to pulls us into an empowering journey framed by the very real vulnerabilities of ecological and social issues that surround us.

UK singer-songwriters’ Lizzie Freeborn and Amy Woodburn joined forces during the 2020 lockdown to lead with confidence and purpose with an enchanting combination of Woodburn’s feathery vocals and Freeborn’s honest, heartfelt lyricism for a sultry yet spirited sonic experience that captivates and transports us into a world tinged with hope for a better future.

With a crystal clear message on earthly love stretching across every release they’ve had over the last two years, ISYLA are the kind of duo that we wait for – not just t lose ourselves in their enchanting and catchy melodies but for their sharply intellectual themes that get us thinking.
