Marian Hill drops fiery impassioned new track "SPINNIN" featuring Kemba and Steve Davit

Marian Hill just dropped the latest single "SPINNIN" off of their upcoming third studio album why can’t we just pretend?.  The moody and elusive track, which features Bronx hip-hop artist Kemba and longtime collaborator and sax master Steve Davit, is ear-candy defined.

Marian Hill, composed of Samantha Gongol and Jeremy Lloyd, has had quite the musical career so far, from playing sold out shows across the globe to having their hit song "Down" charting at #21 on the Billboard 100. With a tremendous amount of accomplishments to be proud of, the duo is nowhere close to slowing down. Their unique insights exude receptivity and relevance, and their ability to embrace fluidity and change as artists is what really makes me a fan of Marian Hill. While keeping their listeners on their toes, each song manifests into exciting and uncharted territory like never before.

"SPINNIN" is saucy, seductive and empowering in every way. Written like a masterful striptease, Sam's vocals effortlessly flow into provocative territory over a prominent beat that builds with power and anticipation. It's the kind of song that commands high boots and female power, while also displaying a sense of ecstasy, longing, and desire. Acting as the ultimate provocateur, the track's passion is enough to propel the listener into a world of rogue-dipped dreams and fantasy. The duo confides, "'SPINNIN' is the type of song that any Marian Hill album would be incomplete without. It’s dark, it's sensual, and it's full of sax. It’s about a kind of attraction that overwhelms and takes you away from your life for a moment or two. And of course it features sax from the incredible Steve Davit, and an expert verse from Kemba _ one of our favorite writers who absolutely understood the assignment." If you need a track to escape from the worries of the world and the thoughts in your head, then this one is truly for you. It's best played with the volume and bass turned up loud for a rush of energy and a newfound sense of confidence.

Marian Hill began their journey together back in 2013. They have released two studio albums to date, their debut album ACT ONE in 2016 and Unusual in 2018. Their new album, why can’t we just pretend? drops April 13th and includes the previously released singles “ooo (that’s my type)” ft. Baby Tate, “omg”, "little bit" and “it never ends.”
