Montreal-based electronic producer Nico Dupuis, aka Anomalie, connects with Grammy-nominated saxophone player, singer, rapper, and DJ Masego for this awesome lovelorn collaboration titled "Memory Leaves." The piano-laden track blends jazz, neo-soul with a dash of hip-hop and dives deep into the somewhat ephemeral lifestyle of musicians. Masego reflects on the dynamics of balancing relationships with his artistry and when things start to get solid, he is off on the road again to quell his creative hunger. The multi-talented act once again shows his versatility to the fullest as he blends soothing melodies with detailed evocative rap verses in a seamless fashion.
The collaboration was birthed after Anomalie and Masego reconnected at a retreat hosted by the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff and in no time they forged a creative friendship leading to the record.
Anomalie is a Montreal-based instrumentalist who burst through the doors in 2016. He has 2 EPs, Metropole and Metropole II under his belt and has also worked with fellow Montreal acts Chromeo and is currently working on his new album GALERIE, due out April 29TH via Nettwerk. This release will be followed by the Galerie World Tour which kicks off in Dallas, TX at the Deep Ellum Art Company on May 18th. Find the full list of dates below!
