Nigerian rapper turned Afropop singer Blaqbonez is back after achieving a tremendous run in 2021 with the release of his charting LP Sex Over Love, performing at the O2 in the UK and headlining his own concert with a record amount of attendance. His new release titled "Commander" is a sensual-tinged, dancehall/Afropop infused jam that once again shows that the singer is fully formed and has found his nice, in the adult-rated section. BlaqBonez doesn't shy from expressing his desires but he does it in a stylish and subtle manner and strays from being too explicit or on the nose with his sexual innuendoes and cheeky lyrics. He delivers his melodic flows in a nonchalant playful manner that almost seems like he is joking throughout the song. Also, the production from Type A forms the perfect hypnotic soundscape for BlaqBonez sexapades that got a girl hooked on him like phonics.
"Commander" is the lead single from BlaqBonez's forthcoming project slated for release later this year. Talking about the new single, Blaqbonez said, “Sex is a universal act, it is something everyone does. I’m just letting people know it's okay to desire intimacy alone and not want to be in love”
