The international concept album curated by 22Twenty Club, Easy Listening: Earth Volume 1 provides an otherworldly musical experience. The five-track body of work is an eccentric compilation filled with atmospheric sounds and gentle sonic landscapes.

Opening with “Sugie” by Super Young Adult, this addictive tune fuses elements of folk and Jazz. Creating a relaxing, ambient paradise, there is warmth exuded that draws listeners in. Super Young Adult is an innovative Black Keys cover band from Utah. The group reveals, “Sugie is a love song to my girlfriend. I wrote it at the end of the 2020 summer when everything was majorly shut down. It still somehow managed to feel like summer because of how amazing she is, so I wrote this song for her and to remind me of how lucky I am.”

Riley Hyland is a 15-year-old electro pop producer creating a uniquely futuristic sound. Their music has been known to focus on themes of superficiality and technology. Touching on the egotistical nature of people in society, her track “America” makes a strong statement. Hyland boldly details a power hungry mind in this infectious synth-heavy single.

During the height of the pandemic, New York was one of the places that was hit the hardest. Seeing a once bustling city now almost abandoned is definitely a bizarre sight to witness. BB Brownstone creates a piece evoking that feeling. With spacey synths and intense beats, the song provides a dreamy far off quality.  The group is an underground production project from Brussels basement dweller and Fat Trout Trailer Park frontman Sean Raab. These tracks as well as others make Easy Listening: Earth Volume 1 so memorable and compelling.
