Brooklyn Drill heavyweight Sleepy Hallow is back with 'Still Sleep?' (Deluxe) album

Straight from East Flatbush, Sleepy Hallow delivers his deluxe album Still Sleep? (Deluxe)—a 25-track project follow-up to the original June 2, 2021 release with features from Sheff G, Coi Leray, Chucky73, Eli Ross, and a few more notable artists. Back with 11 new tracks, Sleepy Hallow is not letting us rest but for good reason.

Emerging from the Brooklyn Drill scene, Sleepy Hallow has become a fan favorite. His infectious 2020 single “Deep End Freestyle” featuring Foushee would start his climb to a Brooklyn Drill staple. Notable for his aggressive delivery that skates over melodically menacing instrumentals, Still Sleep? Deluxe continues to shine a light on his talent. Drill is often recognized by synthy, British grime-inspired sounds but Hallow is all for experimenting on his latest project. Drifting away from the iconic sounds of drill, he explores guitar-heavy instrumentation, manipulated vocal samples, and R&B-infused cuts.  The slow, guitar-laden intro “Basketball Dreams” finds him nostalgic while he reaps in the current glory of his success while he plays the ladies man on  the fast-paced “Luv Em All”. Exercising his ability to adapt, Sleepy Hallow is showing how much of a multi-dimensional artist he is. Although, the album is packed with single-worthy tracks, his deep cuts still give listeners that grime feel. Replay worthy “Tip Toe” featuring Sheff G, plays on the staple features of Brooklyn drill with almost comedic vocal sampling and minimum beat production. Regardless of what you’re looking for, Sleepy Hallow has a little something for everybody on this album.

It’s been a fast ride for Sleepy Hallow. After his breakthrough in 2020, he continues to show and prove that he is exactly what the drill scene has been missing. Slated to be Spotify’s next RADAR artist and a forthcoming mini-documentary, he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. With the release of his deluxe album, he’s set to announce and prepare for his headline tour.
