PHNTMS waits for love to bloom in "Paper Flowers"

Los Angeles based alt rock band PHNTMS is back with their all new pop-infused single "Paper Flowers." The band, who is known for their stadium-worthy anthems and furiously infectious brand of indie rock, has succeeded in capturing the minds and hearts of their listeners across the globe, opening for bands such as Kings of Leon, The 1975, Bastille, Fitz & The Tantrums and Empire of the Sun.

"Paper Flowers," opens up on feelings on romantic relationships. By sending out positive messages of hope, loyalty, and working together to overcome relationship obstacles, the song breathes new life into current circumstances and inspires introspection, passion and reverie. Lyrics such as, "Wasting all our moments, give each other paper flowers, just aint right but, I will give you all my love until our paper flowers come to life," carries a sense of devotion, togetherness and opting to play the long game in love. Sonically, the track features an addictive chorus with vibrant, fast-paced guitars over candy-pop chorus melodies for the ultimate musical release. Overall, this new direction for the band is a welcome change, who are having fun experimenting with different sounds and shining brighter than ever before.

PHNTMS is composed of Alyssa Gambino (lead singer), Adam Jessamine (guitar/bass) and Mikal Smith (guitar). Originally from Philly but relocating to Los Angeles to record, the three members have been focused on writing new music under a new landscape and with a fresh sunny Southern California perspective, which is easily identified in their music. Inspired by human connection through shared experiences, PHNTMS seeks to make music that is highly relatable and that resonates deeply with their audience. “I think as songwriters, we try to capture these moments and make them as detailed as possible," Gambino reveals. "We’ll always be fascinated by the fact we can freeze these moments…”
