Los Angeles based electro dream pop artist KEANA is best known for creating vivid and thought provoking music tied to themes of fantasy and transcendence, while encouraging a child-like sense of wonder and imagination amongst her listeners. The talented artist just released her latest single, "Teardrops," where she shares an important message about the delicate connection between relationships, healing, and self-love.

In KEANA's new single "Teardrops," the singer songwriter reminds us of the impact that self-acceptance and self-love has on our interpersonal relationships, especially when it comes to romance. Featuring honest lyricism, passionate dream-like vocals, and a spirited melody infused with wild and dynamic synths, the song addresses a darker experience in a gentle, poetic manner. KEANA confides, " 'Teardrops' speaks about realizing someone can only love you as much as they love themselves. The story is about being in a relationship with a “fixer-upper,” this person seems put together on the outside but deep down they’re filled with insecurity and fear which often gets taken out on the partner. Eventually I take comfort in feeling my emotions and wish the other person would do the same." The song itself feels like a total body immersive escape, one that pulls you in and gently washes over you while igniting feelings of loss, hope and finally, acceptance. Its powerful meaning will have you questioning and digging deeper to find out how you show up for yourself and others.

KEANA is a multi-faceted artist, with disciplines in producing, engineering, and sound design in addition to her singing and songwriting. Inspired by her jazz training as a teenager, she is said to "envision a dream world constructed out of melancholic vocals, lush synth landscapes and hard-hitting beats." With a wide range of musical styles and tastes, KEANA's songs inspire and change the way we think.
