Moewaw Naedon and C.Scott connect with El Da Sensei for the fittingly psychedelic and chaotic new video for “Off the Path,” a trippy banger off the duo’s recently released River Rats album. The boisterous track sees both Naedon and veteran El Da Sensei battering the heck out of C.Scott's instrumental with gripping rhyme schemes and sharp wit. The single was released with a visually pleasing lyric video but not the trio return with the official video to properly push the track.
Shot and directed by El Da Sensei himself and Big Joker in El’s native Newark, N.J. The directors bring the track to life with seamless performance shots of the rappers doing what they know best and it all comes together with the slick edits and effects from Sam Krats. It also feels like a bridging of the gap between two hip-hop generations that happen to share a similar love for the craft. The younger Moemaw brings his A-game with his verse and songwriting on the hook, while El storms onto the track and holds down the finishing verse. The team also brought out their entire entourage who showed up dipped out in the fly Polo attire reminding us of their Lo-life affiliations.
