DIY artist and producer Kudasaibeats is best known for his ambient blend of creative, well-crafted musical elements, constructing songs that fuse together lush chillwave and lofi hip hop sounds for a serene, yet deeply emotional and introspective experience. The artist just released his latest album entitled Silver Lining and the project is a collection of pivotal experiences throughout Kudasaibeats’ life, leading him to ultimately discover that “every cloud has a silver lining.” Flowing with tender vocals, intentionally placed guitar riffs and atmospheric soundscapes, each song has a special meaning that seeks to resonate wholeheartedly with his listeners.

In the song “cso’s ballad” the narrative follows Kudasaibeats as he is faced with struggle and pain, but then gains the courage to steer his own ship and change his fate. The artist confides, “This track was made during a low point for me in the year, I wasn’t feeling like things were going my way and as a joke my friend would tell me ‘life’s a movie anyways,’ so I decided to make a theme track for how things felt in my life. However, there are two parts to this song, where the first half acts as a ballad when I felt troubled, and the second half sounds more like a call to action to do something about it.” Featuring a duality of sounds to coincide with the two-part theme, the song is both haunting and cinematic, and features glittering production, soothing piano, and a delicate yet eerie melody. The song gains momentum and build into a chillhop tune complete with echoing vocals and immersive sounds that feels emotive and sincere. “Periwinkle Girl” and “Clemintine” are intrinsically tied together, offering another two-chapter story about Kudasaibeat’s journey through dark times. In “Periwinkle Girl” the artist feels lost and unable to escape his turmoil and in “Clementine,” Kudasaibeats finds a moment of hope so that he can make his way out of hardship, ultimately gaining valuable wisdom and life lessons along the way. While “Perwinkle Girl” combines moody sonic elements that feel lonely, muted, and melancholic, “Clementine” is filled with vibrant piano and distorted lyrics over an optimistic melody.

As an entirety, Silver Lining is a multi-faceted album best played while deep in relaxation, engaging in creative work, or practicing self-reflection. Its unintrusive sonic nature offers the listener a way to escape the noisiness of daily life and simply slip into their own imaginative state where they can paint their own narrative.

Kudasaibeats is the work of Christian Songco. He has seen tremendous success as an emerging artist, his solo project resulting in hundreds of thousands of fans and millions of streams across the globe. As the innovative artist continues to hone his sound, we can't wait to hear what's next for this talented newcomer.

Listen to Kudasaibeats latest album Silver Lining here and slip away from the rush and hurriedness of daily life.
