In times of great hardship, we could all use a little extra support and motivation to encourage us to make an effort to feel better. That’s just what electro-indie pop singer-songwriter Emily Henry does in her latest single “I See The Light,” which is all about finding that glimmer of hope and strength and letting it guide you back to where you need to be.

“I See The Light” is reflective of the times, with many people in the world struggling with loss, depression, sickness and anxiety. Henry provides a comforting song as the perfect remedy for anyone who needs to hear an inspiring and powerful message as they make their way out of the struggle and into a place of peace and renewal. She confides, “You can get there — it might be a hard journey, but the new world is out there if you are determined enough.” Featuring soul-bearing lyricism, dreamlike vocals, glimmering synths, and an all-encompassing hook, this song digs deep to touch the hearts of others. She showcases her ability as a masterful songwriter, as she looks inward at her own darkness in order to share her truth with others, inviting others to do the same.

Emily Henry is a DC-based singer-songwriter who creatively blends elements of electro and indie-pop for her own magnetic sound. The artist has been playing music since a young child and the maturity of her craft is felt in all of her songs. Taking inspiration from great pop and folk singers, Emily has been compared to artists such as Joni Mitchell and Sylvan Esso.

Listen to "I See The Light" here and remember that even the great stars above need darkness in order to be seen.
