New Jersey's own Shotta Spence is back with a socially conscious and sonically enriching anthem with "Don't Fold".  Produced by long-time producer and collaborator Kakuyon, the track is perfect as a healing and soul-soothing slice of hope for summer 2021.

Serving as a recap of sorts to the whirlwind of racial and political turmoil of the past year, the visual for "Don't Fold" finds Spence participating in the Black Lives Matter protests as well as marching against AAPI hate in demonstrations over the past Spring.  A real showcase for the artist's underrated vocal chops, the track also features the deft production and guitar work of Kakuyon, creating an ambiance of cautious optimism for a more loving and accepting world in the future.  Delivering a bit more positivity in the world as well as building more representation for Asian-Americans in hip-hop are two of the biggest tenets to most of Spence's music thus far and this track delivers on both in full-force.

Coming out of Franklin, New Jersey, Spence's eclectic marriage of genre influences quickly led him to be discovered by Mike Will Made-It's Ear Drummer Records.  Sharing a label with the likes of Rae Sremmurd has allowed for the Vietnamese-American lyricist to hone his craft and collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry.  "Don't Fold" is expected to appear on Spence's forthcoming album S.H.O.T.T.A. (executive produced by the aforementioned Mike Will Made-It and Kakuyon) along with other previously released standouts like "Arriba" and "Young & Humble".  His first full-length project since 2019's 1012, to call the album highly anticipated would be an understatement.
