The Spanish techno star Coyu presents a new house and disco focused alias, Hassler. The DJ and producer debuts the moniker on Patrick Toppings imprint Trick in the form of a three track EP. The Icke EP three grooving tracks that incorporate uptempo house and disco elements ranging from 132-136 bpm while still maintaining an overall techno approach.

Kicking off the EP with "The Wrong Call". It is a punchy, high energy track with busy synths and what is sure to become an iconic break with a dial tone that will send the crowd wild. This 135 bpm club tool combines the elements of traditional house, disco, and techno production to create a unique uptempo record that still resembles Coyu's sound.

"This Shit Is Over" is up next on the release. The track bumps the tempo up slightly in combination with bleeping synths, stomping kicks. this contemporary techno track adds some flavor to the release as it takes on a lighter approach in comparison to the other tracks featured on the release.

Closing out the EP is "The Nest". This Peak-time techno track packs a serious punch, Hassler slows the tempo to 132 bpm and brings the bass. The track features lithe bass and barreling drum programming run through with vocal loops that are designed to have people in raptures before exploding into peak-time techno.

When speaking on the new moniker Hassler states, “But the idea behind Hassler is not just to release house music but also to not follow the rules and release whatever I think is fun, groovy and makes me dance. Mostly high tempo (132-136) house and disco but always mixed with other genres.”
