Coming off the coattails of a placement on HBO's Euphoria, Alabama-bred Rockstar JT has released a visual for his latest hit single, "Stick". The music video was filmed entirely using – you guessed it – a selfie-stick.
Rockstar JT has been steadily releasing music since 2015. His trap sound fuses the likes of Doe B and Lecrae and has established his own energetic recipe over the years. This particular track produced by Kid Class serves as a hyped crowd-pleaser – one for the mosh pits. It features QC's own, Duke Deuce, who has been torch-bearing the resurgence of "crunk music".
The posse-cut is finished off by emerging new artists, Scootie Wop, and MainMain.
The music video was directed by Aaron Chewning and shot at Home Grown, a Southern country diner in Atlanta. The crew gets loose in the music video as they also turn up with their rhapsody lyricism. Typically, the term "stick" is street lingo for a rifle or a gun, however, Rockstar JT has stated that for this record, 'stick' could mean whatever you interpret it to mean.
DRIP BAYLESS was the start, then we had to RUN IT UP, from that we got a NEW ATTITUDE that came from growing up on that 36 so that we’d know how to pull up with the STICK now it’s time for BIG DRIP ?

In just over a month, "Stick" has accumulated over 150,000 streams on Spotify. "Stick" is being featured on Reach Records' third-annual collection, the Summer Twenty. Be on the lookout for Rockstar JT's next single as he took to Twitter to tease his next single likely to be titled, "Big Drip".
