New York’s Party Nails unveils her sophomore album You Don’t Have To Go Home But You Can’t Stay Here. The 12 track release touches on the life of a 20 something year old, narrating topics such as alcohol, relationships and partying. Sharing her own struggles with over drinking, Party Nails, aka Elana Belle Carroll, sings raw and honest lyrics about her life hurdles.

A standout on the album is “Beer Lust” – a self-explanatory track, delving into the musician’s endeavors with booze while on tour. The singer shares in her press release, “I'm proud of this one because it's so different from the other things I've made, but it's the truth of how I have felt, and feels exactly like being back in those moments.” Cascading synths, dreamy vocals and a repetitive bongo loop creates a house-like beat.

Then there is “Cut To Bleed”, a feminist anthem about the power of menstruation. Acting as a voice to bring further awareness to how incredible the female body is, Party Nails sings, "don't need a cut to bleed," emphasizing the journey that our bodies go through each and every month. Minimalistic instrumentation and a confident bassline provide the backdrop for the singer’s distinct vocals.

“Eden” bursts with ethereal soundscapes, and nu-disco melodies, detailing the significance of self-love. Overall, Party Nails has concocted a relatable and poignant collection of tracks, with something for everyone and we can’t wait to see where 2020 takes her.
