Kaluki has been delivering high-quality tech house records from heavyweight names such as Solardo and Yousef while bringing us rising talent including Eli Brown and Mason Maynard. Making a powerful debut on the label, NONSTOP label boss Piero Pirupa just released an unblemished weapon on his Take Me Away EP.
The title track "Take Me Away" is a shoulder-roller, brimming with a retro vibe that reminds us of the dance anthem "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell. Oozing authenticity, the graceful jacking basslines and soulful vocals work in tandem to anchor the track in place. The end result is a hard-hitting peak-time burner with a hint of playfulness, brought to you by the splintering laser sounds. Following up, "Life" is sitting on warm instrumentation that brings just the right amount of energy to the table. With its pulsating percussion, fuzzy spoken word murmurings and swelling melodies, the cut will surely be Shazamed a lot on the dancefloors over the summer.
