Built as a score for a non-existent Bond movie, Stockholm artist MIYNT returns with a dreamy escapade of neo-psychedelia on "Vacation with Bond in South of France Part 2," and it's filled with deceptive instrumentation. The track leads with an inquiring mind and expansive imagination as the artist sculpts a great escape from reality.
Acting as one, of what seems to be numerous tracks for a fake Bond movie, "Vacation with Bond in South of France Part 2" sets a specific scene in MIYNT's written synopsis of the imaginary film. Being set to an opening cut of a space station in the late '60s, as MIYNT shares, the track enhances the oddities in mind, such as experimentation and space monkeys that ravaged pop culture and mainstream television during the era.
Lingering with skepticism from the start, the toned-down haze is met with a very sweet, surf guitar riff which follows from verse to verse for an ambient soundscape. MIYNT's alluding vocals hum softly for the added factor of trust before the track's natural, climatic betrayal of any spy movie intervenes. Grounding the cinematic aspect of the track is a robust bass line with a slight funk-pop tuning. Any heavy aurora of the bass though is immediately melted due to the track's fantastic, yet simple, drum fills towards the end of the track.
Garnered from such a creative backstory, MIYNT produces a fresh and clever experience that acts as a nice change of pace from the norm. "Vacation with Bond in South of France Part 2" acts as the first track released from her sophomore EP, due this summer via B3SCI records.
