With one of the best sayings, “Everything is techno to us,” Sharkslayer’s own My Techno Weighs A Ton (MTWAT) is dedicated to putting out some of the best house and techno sounds for today’s club music, though they are not opposed to influences from all types of bass music. Such is the case for their latest release from Mexico's own Stuuks, the two track EP Too Much Bass/Funky Flow.
The first track, “Too Much Bass,” has a crisp, driving percussion that fit in with its soft bass work to put together an undeniable groove only accented by the deep, instrumentalized vocals.
The second track, “Funky Flow,” certainly lives up to its name as a bouncy and crisp percussion and steady beat sets the backdrop for a funk infused lead line that will keep you moving throughout while, like the first track, a set of vocals help to accent the track.
