Following the coveted Apple iPhone X television spot, SOFI TUKKER reveals the music video for their single "Best Friend." The group brought back director Mac Boucher (Grimes, Yukon Blonde, Close Talker), who worked on their "Fuck They" video, as well as a few friends in NERVO, The Knocks, and Alisa Ueno. This video actually provides fans an insight into the true kind of people that sit behind the performance mask of SOFI TUKKER. It's clear that the duo of Sofie and Tucker value the relationships they have fostered with the inspiring people they have come across through this incredible journey of success they've had in the past 2-3 years. If you look back closely, prior to the release of "Hey Lion", SOFI TUKKER were on tour opening for The Knocks who had given them the opportunity to join them on tour still playing on the backbone of their first two singles "Drinkee" and "Matador". It's projects like this video that are so important to the bigger music community and the continued need for artists to nurture the bonds of other artists rather than just leveraging business connections. You can tell this video is a celebration and not just another "Let's see how many influencer friends we can put in one video". Check it out below:
"Watching this video makes us so happy because it reminds us of the four days we spent together in Ibiza with some of our best friends! We hope it looks as fun as it was! Getting to spend time with people we love, riding around in ATVs, and being in one of the most beautiful places in the world was a perfect way for us to celebrate friendship. It wasn't just the artists on camera, we also got to film it with one of our new best friends Mac Boucher who is a creative genius." SOFI TUKKER
