Chima Anya, Slone & Crown join forces to remind us all to take a break and "Do Less"

What’s better than making a song with a great message? Making a great sounding song with a great message. Let’s make one thing clear though, that’s no easy feat. Many a musician has fallen into the trap of trying too hard to write something with meaning, only to sacrifice the music (looking at you Vic Mensa). So when you stumble upon a dope song with a dope message, it’s cause for a celebration.

With that in mind, please meet Chima Anya and Slone, and their track “Do Less.”

Produced by Slone and featuring a stellar (and all too relatable) third verse by Crown, “Do Less” should be the millennial generation’s anthem. The song is all about, you guessed it, doing less. But what does that mean? Well, for Chima, it means focusing on one thing at a time instead of trying to do everything from basketball to learning guitar, to going out with friends, to rapping. It’s a problem everyone can understand because we all do it. Even as I sit at this computer and type, I’m listening to a new album, chatting with friends, stressing about work and nursing a hangover.

The video for the track fits perfectly with the song as it is light-hearted (featuring floating pieces of toast among other excellent effects) but drives the point home. Chima utilizes the clutter in his room and life as a vehicle for delivering the message that stress is a killer and everyone needs to chill the fuck out.

Press play on “Do Less” above and be sure to stay locked on EARMILK for more dope music from Chima Anya, Slone and Crown. And remember, as a wise man once said, "the less you do, the more you do."
