In my daily dive into my Soundcloud stream, I found a song titled "Working Woman". Just seeing that title made me want to click play, and I am so happy I did.
For those who are unfamiliar and even for those that aren't, let me introduce you to KONA. The Florida born, Atlanta raised artist is about to become your new favorite artist and just in time might I add. Her new project Uncanny drops July 31st; and in preparation for the release, KONA just released "Working Woman" in both audio and visual formats.

In addition to the song title luring me in, the producer was also an instant draw. Zack Villere fka Froyo Ma produced "Working Woman" and created lush layers of bass, percussion, synths, electric guitar, which is the perfect platform for KONA to do her thing.Her voice and vibe will put you in the headspace of Solange meets Syd (from The Internet).
KONA sings of being overlooked by that special someone you've had your eye on for a while but not giving up. In her visual for the single, we see KONA chasing after the girl that's been overlooking her. Shot on beautiful, green hills; KONA and her leading lady end things with a dance battle.
