Let’s take this moment on this Friday to get acquainted with an artist on the fast rise named King Henry. The producer has come a long way through his career, producing for Major Lazer and Beyonce behind the scenes, now making his way out on his own. His first single, “Pulse,” started it all seven months ago, and he’s since released his EP Don’t Stay Away. Today, King Henry has returned with his first new original music since in the form of a new single, “Destiny.” Featuring another rising star on vocals, fellow LA resident RY X, “Destiny” is a statement-making track, and it feels like something that in hindsight will be a career-changing moment for King Henry.
“Destiny” feels like way more than just pop or electronica. It has a soul to it that stays with you after you’re done listening, and an organic, flowing way about it that is sexy and alluring. Out now via Duke City, listen to “Destiny” above.
