San Fransisco dream pop trio The Bilinda Butchers have a new single out as part of a new compilation called Metempsychosis via their label, Zoom Lens. The track is titled "Lotus Eaters", and it's a searing, sensual tune with darker lyrical content than the band's typically gauzy, blissed-out instrumentation may initially let on. According to the press release, Metempsychosis is, "[A] compilation / art book created by FAKKU & Zoom Lens. The project focuses on the philosophical narrative of the soul searching for new experiences without judgment, conceptualized by illustrators creating an original piece narrating each song in the album." The compilation also has new tracks from Thought Tempo, Meishi Smile, and LLLL.
