Michael Bibi has catapulted into the spotlight and is a name you're going to know if you enjoy your parties big and your tech house wavey. Not only is the London boy a DJ and producer, but he also heads up one of the biggest parties and labels in Europe right now, Solid Grooves. With names making up the family including PAWSA, Dennis Cruz and Reelow, Bibi has built something special, providing knowledgeable crowds of clubbers with only the best sounds.
As well as his solid reputation with his own label, Bibi has seen releases on labels such as Lost Records and VIVa, with his latest coming on Criminal Hype. Joining Lee Walker and Jozef K to name but a few, 'Magic Trip' is the three track EP that Bibi is bringing to the table.
'Magic Carpet' is a journey from start to finish. The self-titled opener comes in bass heavy with distorted kicks and a subtle vocal sample, coming together to create an instant dancefloor classic. 'Don't Look Down' is the second track – its combination of crunchy snares and atmospheric sounds wrap this up into a different, original and eerie sound. Huxley wraps up the EP with a remix of 'Magic Carpet' – creating a whole kind of different groove with the title track by combining glistening chords and purring synths. The EP is a solid display of Bibi's signature sound – delivering three techy tracks ready for dancefloors and terraces alike.
