Ama Lou, otherwise known as London's most politically conscious and brilliant teenager, has released her newest single titled "Lost My Home" produced by NYC duo Likeminds.

Ama Lou touches on a political and personal detachment from the familiar in her new track. The young singer powerfully sings over tribal drums, funky synths and alternative/electronic sounds. As one of London's youngest stars, she sure sends a stronger message than most artist will in their life time. In regards to her lyricism, Ama Lou discusses facing turmoil in her hometown but also in America.
"I was in New York At the time didn’t have anywhere to stay, was couch surfing in between studio sessions. I also picked up on the feelings surrounding the refugee crisis and Brexit and the tension that America was feeling about the election and made it personal."
She further discusses the single as " a response to everything that was going on at the time, in politics and personally, focusing on feeling separated from your life and what you’re used to and having to learn how to firm it and keep going."
If Ama Lou is steady releasing politically and personal message at her young age, I cannot wait to see how powerful she becomes in the music world. This is just the beginning for the soulful songstress.
