Young Clancy is making waves in Canada's R&B scene. Toronto's very own dropped his EP Yung Prince Of The Basement on February 6th consisting of a blend of three eclectic tracks, one being the original version of "Always Have". Just a few days ago Young Clancy dropped the live version of "Always Have" and god damn is it bone chilling.

This young star is blending all the bedroom vibes that have become so notorious to The Six on his new EP but putting a melodic, electronic, James Blake like twist on the sound. In this particular cover, the artist sounds more vulnerable than ever with this down-tempo melancholy version of "Always Have". The artist created a dreamy ballad with weeping vocals over delicate piano keys. While listening to the track, you may be reminiscing on a recent break up with an ex, or even thinking about the one time you were in love five years ago. But stop that nonsense, because this song is mainly a yearning ode to drugs, and a very nostalgic one in fact.
Listen to this acoustic codeine ballad and stay tuned for more releases from Young Clancy in the near future. This is just the first of the fire EP installments this year.
