Loose Buttons, based in New York City, are what alternative rock needs. Electric guitars whale, while drums are the driving force of their powerful music. Most would compare their tunes to bands like the Arctic Monkeys, which isn't a bad thing. Lead singer Eric Nizgretsky says,"'Between Brick Walls' was penned after a much-needed epiphany that my ex and I were fundamentally wrong for each other." Like any good front man, Nizgretsky wears his heart in his sleeve.
"Being the train-wreck romantic that I am, I made the mistake of keeping the relationship alive for much longer than I should have. Truthfully, I did it because I was insecure about being alone. The song is about going through the motions to avoid that dreaded loneliness." "Between Brick Walls" is on Loose Buttons' upcoming EP titled Sundays. It will be available for purchase February 24. You can catch the band playing a residency a Pianos in downtown New York every Wednesday at 8pm in February.
