Philly is known for its wiz-drenched cheesesteaks and agonizingly disappointing sports teams. Ask any Eagles fan when their last championship was – you'll receive nothing but secondhand embarrassment and an icy glare. However, the City of Brotherly Love is also home to a plethora of electronic talent, and Louis Futon is at the forefront. Putting the cherry on top of a breakout year that saw him appear on GRiZ's album Good Will Prevail and release an official remix of ZHU’s “Generationwhy," Louis just dropped the second installment of his Zoned Out mixtape series, and it is as smooth as butter.

What makes a good mixtape is the number of situations it can appeal to. For example, you wouldn't want to go to the gym and pump iron to a Norah Jones tribute mix. Louis Futon's Zoned Out Vol.2 can be played at work, in the gym, during a study session, on a road trip, at your mom's book club, your dog's birthday party, and virtually any other circumstance.

The mixtape features a carefully curated blend of electronic and hip hop, brilliantly sprinkling in throwbacks from the likes of Drake ("Best I Ever Had") and Childish Gambino ("Firefly") as the subtle nuances of Louis' next-level sound design shine throughout its entirety. He also included silky smooth tracks from ODESZA, Mura Masa, HONNE, Electric Mantis, and some unreleased originals of his own that will have you clamoring for potential 2017 release dates.
