One of my favorite tracks of the summer is a collab off of DJ Shadow's The Mountain Will Fall titled "Nobody Speak". The horn layered track features everyone's favorite, vulgar, political activists/rappers Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P), of which we get a fairly epitomizing few verses of general nonsense.
Today marks the drop of the INCREDIBLE official video directed by Sam Pilling, starring Igor Tsyshkevych and Ian Bailey, and shot in NYC, London and Ukraine. We center in on what can only be "a meeting of the minds", that quickly turns into something less honorable when we find the two main politicians rattling off the song's verses. After Killer Mike and El-P both conclude their first verses, the video transgresses into chaos as flags become weapons and the minds become barbarians.
In my opinion, this is the best possible way the song could have been converted to a visual representation of RTJ and DJ Shadow's purpose. It's insanity lined with anger and a two-sided nature, an instant mockery of our current political status here in the states.
