Nocando was last featured on EARMILK when we premiered the first visual off of his upcoming Kingsnake LP, "ZEROES". It revealed a much more candid side of an artist best known for flagrant battle-raps and animated freestyles, putting listeners in his head-space as he a experiences a moment of self-doubt and recollection.
We know what he's about, but for his latest single, "Next Subject", he aims to show us where he's from. The Cam & China (formally of the Pink Dollaz) assisted is a murky club banger produced by Yonnas Abraham that attempts to bring Inglewood and South LA together in his own unique way:
The current feeling of Angelenos is "real recognize real". Obviously real ones love me cause I'm real, but that's not the point tho. I air out my dirty laundry and add a bit hint at nihilism in the midst of the turn up, vent about my cousin being locked up while counter balancing it with rapper bravado. Cam and China make it a point to let you know hard raps and gangster behavior aren't just men sports and that they aren't just the cute twins from some old Jerk group.
