I decided it's time to branch out. I'll usually try to follow up with artists I've posted before, but it's May, and it's time for a fresh look. Let's kick this off with up and coming Soundcloud star Pools, and their new single "blue".
Relax to this one. With utter consistency and grace, "blue" is a collection of coordinated hymns and a repetitive sample. pools always creates very mellow, yet intricately produced tracks. Short, but very sweet and satisfying. Accompanied by what some would say is "trendy" artwork and a lack for that distinct direction for a career, I find Pools to be an artist with little concern for recognition and a wild delight for putting out new, chilled out music. However, since there is essentially no information to go on, we resort to the quality of music. Which, does not fail.
