Start your week fresh with Gnash's new track "Wake Up"

If you take a listen to Gnash's music, you'll start to notice a very discernible pattern of articulate and honest lyricism paired with minimalistic, chill-sounding beats in almost every single one of his tracks. His newest collaboration "Wake Up" with East Coast-based singer-songwriter Chelsea Cutler is an exciting departure from Gnash's more anguished songs such as "I Hate U, I Love U" and "Feelings Fade."  Instead of focusing on the now, it's a song with an optimistic-sounding aesthetic that will make you want to progress, regardless of its lyrical content.

The original "Wake Up" was written and sung by a solo Chelsea Cutler and is gorgeous and dreamy in its simplicity, evoking images of sunsets by the beach with its acoustic guitar accompaniment. However, this rework of the track adds in an extra layer of contrasting warmth, with the voices of Gnash and Cutler blending together and backed by accompanying vocals and guitar from Goody Grace.
